Ambedo Skin was founded with one goal in mind: to create effective, nature-based skincare while respecting this beautiful planet we inhabit.
We immersed ourselves in the ancient methods of soap making and herbalism, rooting our formulations in the Midwest botanical traditions that surround us. All Ambedo Skin products are handcrafted in small batches, using wild-harvested or fair trade ingredients whenever possible.

Hi. I'm Alesha — a CPA who decided a pandemic was the perfect time to become a cosmetic formulator. :)
After years in finance — most recently as a CFO at a middle-market company — I walked away to build something that felt more like me. A brand with a heartbeat.
None of it would exist without my husband, who has cheered me on from day one, and our two boys — who have taught me more about growth than any boardroom ever did.
Honestly, clean products found me before I found them. Years of dermatologist visits starting in elementary school will do that. Good skincare has never felt optional for me — it's always been personal. If I could actually move the needle on my own skin, I figured I could help others do the same.
So I did what any reasonable accountant would do: I started learning formulation chemistry. I never intend to stop.
Growing as a formulator and as a human is the whole point.
At Ambedo, we're rooted in nature — Midwest botanicals, conifer forests, the kind of ingredients that have been quietly doing their job for centuries. We formulate to EU standards, because we believe your skin deserves that level of rigor.
And we're proudly, loudly pro-aging. That includes the silver hair. The laugh lines. The woman who has lived enough to stop apologizing for it. Time is the thing I never take for granted and we're not here to slow you down. We're here to make sure you enjoy the view.
It's never too late to make a change. (I resigned during a global pandemic. Trust me on this one.)
